Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 June 2026
The short version. These terms are the agreement between you and Resume Builder when you use the service. They cover what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, how payment and access work, and the limits of our responsibility. By creating an account or paying for access, you agree to them.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Resume Builder ("the service", "we", "us") is provided by [PROVIDER NAME], based in Norway. These Terms of Service govern your use of the website and resume editor. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
If you have a question about these terms, contact us at support@resumeonce.app.
2. Your account
- You need an account (email and password) to save and edit resumes.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter a contract (at least 16).
- You may close your account at any time; doing so deletes your stored resume data.
3. Using the service
You agree to use Resume Builder only for lawful purposes — to create and manage resumes for yourself or someone you are authorised to help. You agree not to:
- upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you have no right to use;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
- use the service to send spam or to harm others;
- resell or redistribute the service without our permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
4. Your content
You own your content. The resume text, photos and other information you enter remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, display, process and export that content so we can provide the service to you (including the AI import feature, as described in the Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you upload. We don't claim ownership of your resumes and we don't use them to advertise.
5. Payment, access and refunds
Some features require paid access. We currently offer a one-time 30-day access pass for 10 USD. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never receive your card details. Access begins as soon as your payment is confirmed and lasts 30 days. Buying again before your current pass ends extends your access by a further 30 days.
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU/EEA). You normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. Because access is a digital service that begins immediately, by completing your purchase you expressly request that access starts straight away and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once it has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights if the service is faulty.
Except where the law requires otherwise, paid access is non-refundable once it has started. If something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we will try to put it right.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as available" basis. We may update, change or discontinue features, and we may carry out maintenance that temporarily interrupts access. We will give reasonable notice of major changes where we can.
7. Disclaimers
Resume Builder is a tool to help you create resumes. We do not guarantee any particular outcome — including that you will be invited to interviews or hired. The AI import feature reads your uploaded document automatically and may occasionally make mistakes; you are responsible for reviewing and correcting the result before using your resume.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity, or loss of data beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including your mandatory rights as a consumer. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending these terms
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers and liability) continue to apply after your account ends.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and disputes are subject to the courts there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live.
